Bengaluru: In a big assistance for students, the Karnataka government has ruled out the cost revisions for engineering courses in private universities in Karnataka and repair a number of Rs 20,000 to collect ‘other costs and costs’ for the upcoming academic year.
In accordance with the agreement that was beaten between the government and private universities on Wednesday, students who raged into private engineering universities under the government quota this year would continue to pay in two different plates – Rs 65,340 and Rs 58,806.
Starting this year, students must pay for entry fees, other costs and skills costs at the Office of the Carnataka inspection authority or its website and not in college.

Now, they must state the goals collected and this information must be given to Kea, the Department of Technical Education and VTU, in addition to publishing on their website.
“This fee must also be paid in Kea,” said Higher Education Minister CN Ashwath Narayan.
The Minister gives an example of a ‘skill fee’ which is charged with various universities to provide ‘additional skills training’ to improve student work skills.
“We now have three slabs for this fee: Rs 10,000, Rs 15,000 and Rs 20,000.
The VTU team will examine universities and improve slabs depending on the quality and facilities provided during the training,” he added.
Manjunatha Bhandari, Chairman, Technical Committee, Private Engineering Association of Karnataka, said: “We do not want to demand this year’s cost revision because of Covid.
But we have asked the government to raise the cost of next year at least 25% for these reasons: administrative costs Up 10-15%; Aicte mandates a 3% annual revision on a basic payment scale; 8% inflation; and 45% of seats running with subsidized rates.
