BENGALURU: Included in the New Education Policy, Karnataka would present innovative learning approaches in higher education to bridge the gap between theoretical and technical understanding, Deputy Chief Minister C.N.
Ashwath Narayan stated on Friday.
“As we all are dedicated to embrace the New Education Policy in the academic year, publication learning techniques will be employed to bridge the gap between theoretical and technical understanding in specialist courses like technology to produce pupils internationally competitive,” he stated in a symposium here.
Launched in the regional study symposium about problem-based learning (PBL), Narayan said educational institutions could be invited to collaborate with the business to impart skills and knowledge to pupils.

“When students graduate with knowledge and abilities, they’ll be industry-ready for occupations.
Academia and industry must collaborate to create way for entrepreneurship and innovation,” said the ministry, that also holds portfolios of high education, IT, BT, and science and engineering.
NEP drafting committee Chairman K.
Kasturirangan said the time was likely to present the PBL approach in technology classes as part of executing the NEP.
“The PBL approach introduces pupils to real-life issues and inspires them to find answers together.
It is going to also allow them to go through the aesthetic, psychological, ethical, creative, analytical as well as other facets of the scenario in a holistic manner,” explained Kasturirangan, former Chairman of the Indian Space Research Organisation.
Aalborg Unesco Centre to PBL in Engineering Science Director Anette Kolmos, Massachusetts Institute of Technology Executive Director Amitav Babi Mitra, say higher Education Council Vice Chairman Thimme Gowda, along with Vishwesharaya Technology University Vice Chancellor Karisiddappa engaged in the Digital event, organised by the HEC.
