Bengaluru: Chairman of Karnataka Minister Basavaraj S Bommai on Friday said the country will begin at least five vaccinations of lakh covid-19 every day from September 1 with the help of the center.
“We did five lakh inoculation on the basis of the experiment on Wednesday.
Now we will start five lakh vaccinations every day starting September 1,” Bommai returned to Bengaluru on Thursday night after a visit to Delhi, told reporters.
He said his visit to the national capital was mainly to meet Mansukh Mandaviya’s health minister and seek center support to start five lakh inoculation every day from September and so on.
Mandaviya assured his support and said that the center would supply vaccine stock based on state consumption, Bommai added.
For questions about Covid restrictions during the Gauri-Ganesha Festival next month, he said such problems would be discussed at the meeting of Covid-19 experts on August 30.
In water disputes with neighboring countries, the main minister has a detailed discussion with Jal Shakti Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat about the Krishna project, Mekedatu and Mahadayi, Ettinahole, and Bhadra.
He also said that he had a discussion with Advocate General Prabhuling Navadgi, Senior Lawyer Shyam Divan and Mohan Katarki and senior officials of the Department of Water Resources regarding water disputes and asked them to accelerate cases in the presence of the Supreme Court.
The minister’s chairman also met Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and asked him to continue GST compensation, because it ended in 2022.
He said that the decision could be taken on this issue at the GST council meeting, he said.
Regarding his meeting with the Minister of Trade and Textile Uni, Piyush Goyus, Bommai said he had sought central support for Karnataka proposal for Mega Textile Park in the state.
Goyal asked him to send a proposal and convince to offer all types of subsidies from the project center.
The Union Minister also said that he would help the state in establishing tie-ups with national and international textile producers, said Bommai.
