Bengaluru: Provides excellence with local language promotion, professional courses, including techniques to be taught in Kannada from the next academic year (2022-23) throughout Karnataka, said Deputy Chairperson of State Minister C.
Ashwath Narayan on Sunday.
“We have initiated a curriculum translation into regional languages to teach professional courses such as techniques and medicine in Kannada from the next academic year,” Narayan said at the webinar, which was held by all languages of the Faculty of Karnataka University Association about ‘new education policy studies – Indian language ‘.
Narayan, who also holds IT, BT, Science and Technology and Higher Education Portfolios, said Kannada will be strengthened as a mother tongue under the new education policy (NEP).

“When NEP emphasizes the provision of professional courses in regional language, we take steps to realize the benefits,” Narayan said.
Advocates that Kannada must also develop with other languages in line with the progress made in other fields of learning such as innovation and technology, minister and curriculum courts will be designed by universities and subject experts.
“Nep does not allow outsiders to enforce other languages to natives,” he added.
