Karnataka: VAX receiver left in a puddle

Bengaluru: An 86-year-old citizen, who took the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine on July 10 on the drive-through campaign, was in conformity: he was sure he was given a covishield but his vaccination certificate said he was given a covaxin.
Hema R has asked Covaxin and has paid accordingly, but his family said they saw the nurse giving a covishield instead.
The hospital involved in the drive insists he was given a covaxin.
However, the family was returned the excess money billed.
More Covaxin costs.
Confusing compations, the vaccination certificate was obtained from the co-win portal said he was given a covaxin.
Hema’s son said confusion arose because the syringe was published before.
Hema was replaced by excess after his son took a problem with the committee.
However, the family faces a bigger problem: they are now wondering which vaccines should he take for the second dose.
There is no expert ratification to take two different vaccines for the first and second dose.
Also, the interval is different: Covaxin is due after 4-6 weeks of the first dose, while 12-16 weeks for covishield.
Hema’s son told Tii, “When I asked the vaccine nurse what he gave me, the nurse showed me a covishield bottle.
But the committee claimed that he was given a covaxin.” The child firmly believed there was chaos.
However, a private hospital involved insisted there was no confusion.
Hema was given a covaxin, they said.
A NGO traveling along with a private hospital said the number of differences was only replaced only because the family held another person in line.
“No need to issue a new certificate because he was given a covaxin,” NGO said traveling.
However, Hema’s son said: “Those who manage vaccines must load syringes in front of the receiver and not first.
That will eliminate all doubts.” Hema is not the only one who faces such a problem.
A 73-year-old woman took two covishield doses but the certificate said she only had one.
“He took the first dose in April and no confirmation certificate or message.
We explained that to the staff when he took the second dose in May.
But he issued a first dose certificate,” he said.
In other cases, Manjunath (name changed), 48, which took two covishield doses had not received a certificate.
Manjunath took the first dose on April 11 at government facilities.
He matured for the second dose between May 9 and June 6 according to the co-win portal.
“I took the second dose on May 14 on a drive held in my office.
The hospital gave a vaccine first and then registered.
When my turn came to register, I was told that Co-Win did not recognize the dose because it would only consider the gap 84 The day between the dose.
I don’t get a certificate, “said Manjunath.
Incidentally, the window between two covishield doses was changed to 12-16 weeks on May 14.
