MADIKERI: Unknown Nasek Allegedly Poisoning School Overhead Tank in Sunticoppa.
Fortunately, there were no victims reported.
Overhead tank is managed by Sunicoppa Gram Panchayat which supplies water to government elementary school in Sunticoppa.
The incident was revealed after several students, who went to the toilet on Tuesday, experienced a bad smell in the water and complained to the teachers.
Furthermore, the staple of Geeta and the teachers checked the place and found that the overhead tank lid was open.
They also pay attention to the stench that comes from the tank.
Management immediately reminded education block officers, Police Syuntikoppa and Panchayat Suntikoppa officials who visited the place.
The Puneet, Pandu Pandu, Gram Panchayat President Shivamma, PDO Venugopal and others rushed to the place.
Water samples are sent to laboratories for testing and confirmed to be poisoned.
Cases have been registered and investigations are ongoing.
