HUBBALLI: Karnataka wellness ministry K Sudhakar on Saturday voiced displeasure over the treatment offered to Covid-19 patients in the Karnataka Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) here, stating its operation did not fulfill the expectations. “There are approximately 1,000 physicians in the clinic. Currently 1,030 Covid patients have been undergoing therapy. This ratio of physicians and patients is in the nation. You want to introspect how efficiently you’ve discharged your obligation,” Sudhakar was quoted as saying in a statement issued by his office. As stated by the minister, should the other employees are taken into consideration, then the hospital has a power of over 2,000 employees. “However, why are the healthcare services not in accordance with the expectations?” Sudhakar hunted to understand. The ministry said that he’s been getting complaints which the senior physicians and specialists aren’t seeing the wards. “I discovered truth at the complaints. It’s come to our notice that a number of individuals working privately are arriving along with registering the register,” that the Minister alleged. He hunted stringent actions against several senior physicians and experts, whose behaviour is now bringing a bad name to the association and demoralising other people, that are sincere. The Minister also emphasised upon significant spending of air along with its normal audit.
