Karni Vihar firing: Shooters were paid hefty money

JAIPUR: A day after a 37-year-old man from Dombivili in Maharashtra was arrested for hiring gunmen who wounded a car washer at Gandhi Path, police claimed that shooters were paid a hefty amount for the hit.
Kamlesh Shinde was arrested from Dombivili in a joint operation between the local and Jaipur police on Tuesday.
Sources said that over Rs 1 lakh was paid by Shinde to kill Aditya Jain (41).
The sources in the police said that following Shinde’s arrest, they zeroed in both on the shooters too, their identities will be revealed soon.
On June 16, the two bikeborne gunmen fired at least three rounds of shots at Jain when he was washing cars outside an apartment near Gandhi Path under the Karni Vihar police station area.
Jain had a narrow escape and sustained a bullet injury on his hand.
During treatment in the hospital, Jain told police that Shine had been harassing his wife.
