Kartarpur corridor opened after 20 months

New Delhi: The center on Tuesday announced the reopening of the Kartarpur Sahib Gurdwara corridor from Wednesday, in front of Gurupurab – birthday born November 19 Dev Teacher Nanak Dev.
The decision to continue the movement of worshipers through the corridor that leads to Kartarpur Sahib in Narowal Pakistan “reflects the great respect for the Modi government to Shri Teacher Nanak Dev-ji and our Sikh community”, announced a decision.
The corridor closed on March 2020, almost four months after it was inaugurated, remembering the Covid-19 outbreak.
The latest decision seems to the foundation behind the Delegation of BJP leaders from Punjab Meeting Modi recently to ask him to reopen the corridor.
Even the Pakistani government last week urged India to allow worshipers to visit Kartarpur Sahib Gurdwara ahead of UTSAV’s prakash celebration.
The central decision can be seen to overcome many fields with the election of countries that appear in Punjab and repetitive movements to show their respect for faith Sikh after the agitation of trade unions, especially from Punjab and Haryana and West, against Agri reforms promulgated by the center.
“The nation is ready to celebrate the Prakash Utsaav from Shri Teacher Nanak Dev-ji on November 19 and I am convinced that the decision of the Government of Narendra Modi to reopen the Kartarpur Sahib corridor will further increase joy and happiness throughout the country,” Shah tweeted.
.
There are some concerns, even before the pandemic, for the efforts of Pakistani institutions to use pilgrimage to disseminate anti-Indian propaganda and see “recruiting” some of the pilgrims who are easily affected.
Expressing gratitude to PM Modi and the Minister of Internal Affairs Shah for the reopening, Chairman of the Punjab Minister Chararjit Singh Channi on Tuesday claimed to have taken problems with the central government.
“This is an encouraging opportunity for the entire community of Punjabi in general and Sikh, especially,” he said.
On November 18, Channi will lead the entire cabinet to pay respect at Gurdwara Darbar Sahib, Kartarpur Sahib.
Some senior politicians from Punjab, including the former Chairman of the Captain Amarinder Singh and Punjab Congress Navjot Singh Sidhu also have Twitter urging the Indian government to reopen the Karttarpur corridor in view before Gurpurab.
Kartarpur corridors, called “peace corridors” between India and Pakistan, have seen around 45,000 pilgrims through it between November 2019 and February 2020.
The corridor allows Sikh pilgrims to travel a visa-free trip to the Attari-Wadwara border through the border of Attari-Wagah.
