New Delhi: Delegation of BJP leaders from Punjab who met PM Narendra Modi on Sunday with repurchasing pilgrimage Kartarpur Sahib, claimed to have received a positive response, sparked speculation about the early Sikh pilgrims to visit the temple dedicated to the founders of their faith, Teacher Nanak Dev.
“We have a memorandum for PM who ask to reopen the Kartarpur Sahib corridor, the desire of millions of teacher readings Nanakdev throughout the world.
PM responded positively to our request to reopen the corridor immediately,” said Secretary General BJP Dayal Sodhi, who is part of the delegation.
Pilgrimage Kartarpur Sahib was suspended in March last year after the outbreak of Covid -19.
Ashwani Sharma, Head of the BJP Punjab Unit, said that PM convinced the team that he would look into the demand for the commencement of pilgrimage to the temple before the birthday of Nanak teacher born on November 19.
Sodhi considering Modi visited Gurudwara in Delhi to mark the 400th Martyrdom Tegh Bahadur, and said that the team extended thanks to PM to take several initiatives for Punjab and Sikh Community.
“Corridor Kartarpur Sahib was opened in his tenure, which Congress could not do in 70 years.
