Kaschi Hindu Leader Booked by Social Media Post

Coimbatore: Big Bazaar Police on Wednesday registered a case against Hindu Makkal Kaschi Leader Arjun Sampat for social media posts that offer RS 1,001 gifts for anyone who kicks actor Vijay Setupathi.
Sampath blamed the actor for allegedly insulting Patriarch Patriarch Pasumpon Muthuramalinga Thevar in a post distributed to the Hindu Makkal Katchi Twitter handle on November 7 on November 7.
“Arjun Sampath announced the cash award to kick Actor Vijay Setupathi to insult Thevar Ayya 1 kick = RS.
1001 for anyone who kicked him until he apologized (sic),” read.
This case was listed under the IPC 504 section (intentional insult with the intention to provoke peace violations) and 506 (1) – punishment for criminal intimidation.
Ingoing investigation.
