Coimbatore: Police Bazaar in Coimbatore City on Thursday registered a case against Hindu Makkal Katchi Leader Arjun Sampat for posts recently on social media that announced Rs 1,001 for each Tamil Vijay Setupathi film kick.
Pos Twitter on November 7 said, “Arjun Sampath announced cash award to kick Actor Vijay Setupathi for insulting Thevar Ayya.
1 Kick = Rs 1001 / – for anyone who kicked him, until he apologized (Sic).” City police said the post caused a violation of peace.
The case was registered against Arjun Pampat below the IPC 504 section (intentional insults with the intention to provoke peace violations) and 506 (1) – punishment for criminal intimidation.
