Revised Varanasi: Mahant Kashi Annapurna Math Mandir, Rameshwar Puri died in a private hospital in the city on Saturday.
He is 67 years old.
His mortal remains were taken to the temple for the ‘Antim Darshan’ (public viewing).
The last rite will be carried out on Sunday.

Mahant Rameshwar Puri contracted Covid-19 infection during Haridwar Kumbh and was hospitalized in New Delhi.
After recovering, he returned to Varanasi and was in the temple.
According to Deputy Mahant Shankar Puri, he fell ill again and was in the ventilator for the last 10 days in a hospital in Lucknow.
