Jammu: stated that it was the government’s mission to achieve ‘every last person who was in line’, the UNION Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw on Monday said that Kashmir would get a train link before 2024.
“Rail links to Kashmir will be open to the previous public 2024, “The Minister said during his visit to the Jammu Tawi train station.
Referring to the Jammu-Poonch Railway Link, the Union Minister said that the work on the track was accelerated and will be completed after dealing with the villability of the area.
Previously, he examined the Railway Jammu train station and studied plans to increase it, along with Kathua Station.
He said that the right steps will be taken to facilitate pilgrims and tourists.
The Minister also visited the Community Service Center (CSC) in Janipur, Jammu, as part of a public outreach initiative from the government for the United States.
In CSC, the official of the family and the E-Governance Agency Kashmir gave a briefing to the Union minister on the functions of the department and its role in facilitating people with government schemes such as Ayushman Bharat Pmjay, e-Shram and other e-governance facilities.
Vaishnaw threw light on the Pradhan Gramin Gramin Saksharta Abhiyaan, where the rural population was given a computer and internet literacy.
He said that a systematic survey was being carried out to connect the remote area in the country through cellphone connectivity and the internet.
‘Universal Internet Access’ is the goal set by the Prime Minister, he said.
During his visit, the United Minister was accompanied by Deputy Commissioner Jammu Anshul Garg and senior Railway officials.
