Noida: Three Kashmir students arrested in Agra for allegedly raising pro-Pakistani slogans on Thursday were booked for incitement, said Uttar Pradesh police official.
The three students, two of them were 20 and one 21, were also returned in a 14-day trial custody by the Agra Court, the official said.
Uttar Minister Pradesh Yogi Adityanath before that day said that the incitement law would be summoned to those who celebrated Pakistani’s victory against India in the recent T20 World Cup match.
“Three students were arrested on Wednesday after FIR was submitted against them at the Jagdishpura Police Station.
They were accused of raising pro-Pakistani slogans after the Indian-Pakistani T20 cricket match and posted a celebration message on social media after Pakistan.

On Friday, they were produced in the Magistrate Court in Agra, who turned them on in the 14-day trial detention, said the official.
“Fir was initially registered under the IPC 153A section (promoting hostility between groups) and 505 (making or publishing content to promote hostility).
Section 124a (incitement) IPC was included on Friday in this case,” Police Officials said.
