LONDON: Kate Middleton England, Prince William’s wife, has been forced into self-isolation for 10 days after a contact with someone who was then tested positive for Covid-19, said Kensington Palace on Monday.
Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, who will join her husband Duke of Cambridge in a series of events to celebrate the 73rd anniversary of National Health Services (NHS), must withdraw from all public events after development on Friday.
Kensington Palace said The Duchess “touched someone who was then tested positively”.
“Your Majesty does not experience any symptoms, but follows all government guidelines that are relevant and isolate themselves at home,” said Kensington Palace spokesman.
Kate’s last community event was a visit to Wimbledon on her role as the protector of the All England Lawn Tennis Club and sharp tennis fans.
On Friday, he traveled around the sport to meet staff at the museum, the central court kitchen and sat with a former Tennis star team Henman to watch Jamie Murray play in a double game.
He began to isolate himself on Friday after being told that he had come into contact with someone who was then tested positive, but it was unknown whether the NHS application made him realize.
Tennis fans will now miss the Wimbledon Male and Women’s final on weekends.
According to British media reports, the 39-year-old player who has received both the covid vaccine doses, followed the royal household testing regime and took a lateral flow test twice a week.
