New Delhi: AAP has decided to collect feedback from the Punjabs about who they think should be the main face of the party, the camp of Arvind Kejriwal said on Thursday even when he suggested that Bhagwant Mann was his personal choice for the post.
Minister Delhi also ruled himself from race.
To collect feedback, the AAM AADMI Party (AAP) has launched a cellphone number where people can give their opinions.
“First time in Indian history, people will decide – who should be their CM candidate.
There are so many elections since 1947 and for the first time a party asks people about who should be cm.
The number will open until 5 pm On January 17, “Kejriwal said.
This will be the basis of this feedback that the face of the party’s minister will be decided.
MP Sangrur Bhagwant Mann has become one of the front runners to be the face of the party minister.
However, Kejriwal said that Mann also suggested that people be asked first about the decision.
The Chairman of the Minister of Delhi in the presence of Punjab AAP Unit President and MP Mangl and the Senior Party Leader Raghav Chadha launched a cellphone number where people can provide their feedback by recording their voices, sending SMS or WhatsApp about whose among the party leaders they want to be declared as a candidate for the head of the minister.
“No, Arvind Kejriwal is not in this race, let me clarify that I am not in it,” Kejriwal said.
Earlier, in June 2021 Kejriwal announced that the face of the party’s minister’s party for the polls of the Punjab 2022 will be from the Sikh community.
On Thursday, Kejriwal said even though he wanted Mann to be declared a cm face, but the latter insisted that the Punjab people had to make this decision.
“Bhagwant Mann is my younger brother, he is a High AAP leader.
I said Bhagwant Mann had to be made, but he said the person had to be asked first.
He said the practice of deciding the name of the CM candidate behind the closed door must be stopped,” Kejriwal told reporters .
Replying to the question, said Kejriwal, “My personal choice is not important, but what people from Punjab say, the party will announce the name of the candidate.
We want to give a good candidate, which is liked by people.
We have left the decision on Three punjabis crore now, “he said.
Punjab went to poll on February 14.
Previously, there was a lot of speculation that a leading farmer leader could lead the AAP campaign in Punjab.
But party talks with leaders of Balbir Farmers Singh Rajewal did not produce bonds.
AAP also follows the system of gathering feedback from the public while giving tickets to those who aspire to fight for elections to the legislative assembly.
However, practice sometimes also attracts questions.
Recently, there was a fight among AAP workers in Jalandhar for the difference in ticket distribution.
