Moscow: A total of 164 people, including two children, were killed in riot of violence in Kazakhstan during last week, the Russian Sputnik news agency quoted the Ministry of Health on Sunday.
The demonstration began a week ago with the increase in fuel prices before exploding into a broader protest against the government.
The ministry said that 103 people had died in the main city of Almaty Kazakhstan, where the worst violence occurred.
