MySuru: Kannada books are distributed to MySuru Division Schools and Division students by Kannada book authorities to encourage reading habits among students on Thursday.
Authority has chosen 198 schools and colleges in MySuru’s division for the scheme.
Symbolically distributed books by the St Somashekar District Minister to Chamarajanagar JSS College students, Kr Nagar Krishnarajendra College for boys, Kushalnagar Kannada Pre-University College, the government bettampadi first class and Vantalu High School.Kankannada Nandeesh authority books Hanche said that the authority could not buy books in the past five years because the state government had not released a grant for the same thing.
Despite the applicable pandemic situation, the authority has distributed books worth Rs 1 Crore to school students and college Division MySuru to foster reading habits between them.
Authority has distributed books worth 15,000 to RS 20,000 to 198 schools under mysuru limit, Chamarajanagar, Madya, Hassan, Mandya, Udupi, Dakshina Kannada and Chikkamagaluru.
He demanded that the government had to release enough grants for Kannada book authorities to promote their activities which also played an important role in the spread of knowledge, growth of Kannada, culture among people more children’s books to foster reading habits among children
