Hyderabad: Chief Minister of Telangana K Chandrasekhar Rao on Sunday departed for New Delhi, where he was scheduled to meet with the Union Jal Minister Shakti Gajendra Singh Shekhawat in the allocation of water in Krishna and Godavari Basins, in addition to asking the center to establish a center.
During his stay in the national capital, if necessary, Rao will also call Prime Minister Narendra Modi to discuss this issue and also demand to express the annual target in the procurement of rice from the country.
Suspecting that the Government of NDA has dragged his legs in the Telangana section in the waters of the Krishna and Godavari River, Rao said he would meet with the Union Minister of Shakti during his visit to Delhi and demanded that the state shares be decided.
Telangana and neighbor Andhra Pradesh has had a sharp difference in sharing river water.
If the center does not form a court and refer to the problem, TRS will launch massive agitation, in addition to raising problems in parliament, CM has warned and strives to know what prevents the central government to refer to the court.
Rao also demanded that the center convey the annual target for the procurement of rice from Telangana, adding ministerial delegates, members of parliament and officials will soon go to Delhi to get clarity to the extent to which procurement and also on rice cultivation.
The powerful party held Dharna here on Thursday (last) for this issue.
