KDA to use remote sensing applications to check illegal construction

Times News Network Kanpur: Kanpur Development Authority (KDA) will use remote sensing applications to check illegal construction and to verify the property.
Alok Saini’s scientist at a meeting held by Deputy Chairperson of KDA Arvind Singh and other officials discussed the remote sensor application that would use images collected by Indian Cartosate satellites from the Ministry of Science and Technology.
The meeting object is to notify officials of the use of technology to identify KDA assets and carry layout in digital imaging.
This will help in determining illegal construction and encroachment.
It can also be used in the verification of KDA housing assets which will help in the allocation of plots / buildings / buildings empty / not allocated to increase KDA’s income.
Deputy Chair leads that all such works are done in the city must be taken on one platform.
He asked the officers to coordinate among all departments so that the assigned work can be disposed of in a timely manner.
Meanwhile, when reviewing the complaints received in ‘Janata Darshan’, it was found that there were a number of things where KDA had executed sales to allottees even though the land was debated and ownership could not be given to them.
Taking knowing complaints, deputy chairman said the physical examination of the property would be a better choice before carrying out sales.
He asked the officers to find reports from all relevant departments if there were no disputes over land or buildings.
He asked to form a SOP by forming a five member committee under the leadership of the additional / responsible secretary of the Law Department.
The committee will study various stages of implementation of sales acts to avoid disputes between allottes and KDA.
The committee will prepare a procedural report about it and subject to him in ten days, Deputy Chairperson added.
