Mumbai: Commissioner of the city of Iqbal Chahal on Monday directing officials to prepare for the third wave that may be in the city by preparing a bed, labor, oxygen system and medicine.
The Jumbo Center, which has reduced operations after cases dipped in recent months have been asked to start recruiting workers and updating wards in the first week and both January.
At present, around 9% of the covid-19 beds are occupied.
After a stable increase in cases and the first few days, Chahal called for a meeting with the Ministry of Health and Head of the Hospital, and instructed all who carefully carefully implemented Covid-19 prevention steps.
He issued instructions to ensure oxygen supplies directly to the hospital.
The city commissioner said that the availability of oxygen must be more than the requirement in accordance with the state government instructions.
The instructions were issued for all BMC hospitals and Jumbo Covid hospitals to remain vigilant and well equipped considering the possibility of the Coronavirus outbreak, including Omicron.
Chahal said all the facilities needed such as ambulances, labor in hospitals, equipment needed, the stock of drug-injection must be checked and updated.

Rajesh Dere, the Dean of the BKC Jumbo Center, said he had begun to recruit doctors, nurses and girls.
The instructions for him are recruiting enough labor so that all 2,328 beds can be activated on January 1.
“We recruit 200 doctors, 250 noble boys and the same number of nurses needed to operate all beds,” he said, added.
That many have worked in the middle during the second and first wave have been recalled.
At 925 Bed facilities Jumbo’s Bed, the authorities began to run checks on the oxygen pipe and examine the drug inventory.

Deepa Shriyan said that they would activate the service so 50% of other Jumbos beds were occupied.
“We will start recruiting so other Jumbos began to fill up quickly.
Tender has been done for the recruitment of labor, medicine, and others,” he said.
Both BKC and Dahisar currently do not recognize patients.
Jumbos who operate at this time, including Nesco in Goregaon and Richardson & Cruddas in Mulund and Byculla, have been asked to start preparing to open more wards.
