Thiruvananthapuram: The country on Wednesday recorded 13,658 cases of Covid-19 fresh and 142 deaths related to Covid, taking total tolls to 13,235.
The Office of the Health Minister Veena George here informed that 1,40,727 samples were tested on Wednesday and the testing test for that day was 9.71.
So far, a total of 2.30,73,669 samples have been tested.
The wise transfer of the district of the positive Covid case reported for that day was as follows.
Malappuram (1,610), Thrissur (1,500), Thiruvananthapuram (1,470), Ernakulam (1,448), Palakkad (1,273), Kozhikode (1,254), Kollam (1,245), alappuzha (833), Kannur (634), Kottayam (583), Pathanamthitta (457), Wayanad (372) and Idukki (270).
Among those tested positively on Wednesday, 69 came from outside the country, 12,833 had contracted disease through contacts and 689 sources of people unknown.
A total of 67 health workers tested positive for Covid-19 and wise separation of the same district are as follows: Kannur (13), Kollam and Kasaragod (8), Thiruvananthapuram (7), Ernakulam and Palackad (respectively), Pathanamthitta (5), Kottayam (4), Thrissur and Wayanad (3 each), Malappuram (2) and Idukki and Kozhikode (respectively).
As many as 3,88,903 are currently in quarantine in the state and 3,64,100 are under institutional / home and 24,803 in hospitals.
As many as 2,234 were hospitalized on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, TPR-based restrictions continue to be in the state.
There are 313 local bodies with TPR below 8, 545 LSGIS with TPR between 8 and 16 and 152 local bodies with TPR between 16 and 24.
24 local bodies have TPR above 24.
