Thiruvananthapuram: The country on Saturday recorded 18,531 new Covid-19 cases with a test level of test (TPR) of 11.91% when 1.55,568 samples were tested.
Meanwhile, 98 recent deaths have also been confirmed as caused by Covid, taking dead victims in the country to 15,970.
At the same time 15,507 patients had recovered from the disease.
Among new cases, 17,538 cases have been infected through local deployment.
Infection contact sources cannot be traced to 806.
There are 74 health professionals among those infected and 113 infected people have arrived from outside the country.
Malappuram reported the highest number of cases – 2,816, followed by thrissur (2,498), Kozhikode (2,252), Ernakulam (2,009), Palakkad (1,624), Kollam (1,458), Thiruvananthapuram (1,107), Alappuzha (986)), Kottayam (760) , Kasaragod (669), Wayanad (526), ​​Pathanamthitta (485), and Idukki (351).
So far 30,99,469 people have recovered from Coronavirus infection in the state as 1.38,124 patients are still undergoing treatment.

There are 73 local bodies with TPR below 5%, 335 local bodies with TPR between 5% and 10%, 355 local bodies with TPR between 10% and 15% and 271 local bodies with TPR above 15% above the country.
