Thiruvananthapuram: State President of BJP K Surendran said on Saturday that Chargesheet was submitted by a special investigation team at Kodakara Hawala Money Heist Case more than a political resolution than a chargesheet.
Overcoming news conferences at the party headquarters in the capital, Surendran said the Chargesheet was prepared without incriminating evidence to BJP leaders.
“News report said that the Chargesheet contained two contradictory statements by Dharmarajan.
Why did the police not record the secret statement of Dharmarajan? Kodakara Chargesheet is part of a political conspiracy on BJP,” he added.
Surendran accused that the investigation team did not tend to recover money from smugglers.
Instead, the police tried to save people accused of this case.
“The Chargesheet is weak and built on a lie.
It will not stand the supervision of the law.
What the police claimed to be the CDR of the fake BJP leaders.
BJP will soon release the Detail Note (CDR) of the BJP leaders in question,” said Surendran.
Chargesheet filed by sitting in the case of Heist Highway stated that nearly Rs 40 Crore was brought to Kerala for BJP leaders using Hawala operators during the latest assembly selection.
But, the chargesheet satisfyed the BJP leaders (including the President of the State K Surendran) as a witness and not the defendant.
Son Surendran Harikrishnan and Dharmarajan, one of the complainants, was also charged as a witness.
Chargesheet said the detailed probe ed, the I-T and EC departments needed on this illegal money transportation.
