Kerala Chicken Socket at Venjaramoodu

Thiruvananthapuram: The next socket of Kerala Chicken, a combined venture of animal husbandry division and Kudumbashree, started at Venjaramoodu on Monday.
Across the country, the job comprises 203 farms and 44 sales sockets.
Kudumbashree intends to start 560 farms along with 260 earnings outlets throughout the nation and integration has begun in 31 farms in the area.
The socket at Venjaramoodu will operate at Pullampara panchayat.
MLA D K Murali inaugurated the socket.
District mission planner K Shaiju was current.
The department of animal husbandry pictured job’Kerala Chicken’ in an estimated cost of Rs 63.11 crore.
The project envisages manufacturing and distribution of secure wholesome broiler poultry at an affordable price to customers under the tag of”Kerala Chicken”, and also to develop the industry as a viable career vocation for farmers.
The project has been executed from the animal husbandry department (AHD) in cooperation with all Kudumbashree, Kerala State Poultry Development Corporation (KSPDC), Meat Products of India Ltd (MPI), Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (KVASU), and also Brahmagiri Development Society.
The job aimsto create the distribution chain, for example, institution of broiler breeder farms, planting plants, processing plants, and transport with cold storage, sales outlets, which makes plants such as waste disposal, etc..
Provision for promotion, publicity & branding are highlighted.
The AHD filed a comprehensive project report for execution under the Rebuild Kerala Initiative.
The authorities had accorded administrative sanction to the job by sourcing funding capital from the growth policy loan.
