Thiruvananthapuram: District categorization based on hospital admissions and appropriate restrictions will fall to Kerala from Tuesday.
This was decided at the Covid review meeting chaired by the head of Pinarayi Vijayan.
According to the decision, the Thiruvananthapuram capital has been included in category 3 (threshold 3) which will bring more restrictions.
In the district, it has been found that more than 25% of people treated in hospitals are covid patients.
In the district, no meeting for all types of functions including religious ones will not be permitted.
All places of worship must pray only online online.
A maximum of 20 people will be permitted in the funeral and marriage functions.
All theater cinema, swimming pool and gym must be closed.
Only the last year class that is permitted in college while in school is only the tenth class and the twelfth is permitted.
The meeting observed that because of the increase in the spread of Covid-19, hospital admissions also increased.
Therefore, eight Kollam District, Thrissur, Ernakulam, Wayanad, Idukki, Palakkad, Alappuzha and Pathanamthitta have been included in category B (threshold b).
Category A (threshold A) includes Kottayam, Malappuram and Kannur.
Kasargod and Kozhikode are not included in any category.
The meeting also gave permission to school and college to be closed for two weeks if the presence of students under 40% continued for three days.
The main minister is also directed at taking the steps needed to reduce the number of employees who come every day to the Government Secretariat.
