ThiruvananThapuram: The flow of students to the government and school assisted in this country has lost the number of figures last year.
Compared to last year, 28,482 more students received entrance tickets in the first standard in the government and school assisted in the current academic year.
On Wednesday, the Minister of Public Education V Sivankutty said 3,05,414 children received entrance tickets and schools assisted by 2021-22.
The same thing in the 2020-21 academic year is 2,76,932.
While 1,20,706 new students joined the government school in the academic year 2021-22, the same in the maid sector was 1,84,708, said Sivankutty.
According to him, there was a decline in the number of students who joined the school without this year’s aid.
While 44,849 students joined the first standard in schools without aid last year, the same thing had dropped to 38,234 this time.
Sivankutty said the phenomenal increase in infrastructure facilities in government and assisted schools and a palpable increase from academic activities has led to an increase in the public education sector.
However, school management without assistance quotes family financial instability because of Covid-19 pandemics as the main reason that encourages parents to choose the government and schools assisted by free schools.
