Thiruvananthapuram: The country on Wednesday recorded 6,849 cases of fresh coronavirus while 69,334 samples were tested.
Among the cases detected, 2,762 people were fully vaccinated.
While 1,001 people among them received one shot, 2,026 people did not take a single dose.
There are currently 63,752 active cases, which are 7% of people are accepted both in hospitals or other care centers.
Meanwhile, 61 recently confirmed deaths as caused by Covid, took the death toll in the state to 36,475.
At the same time, 6,046 patients have recovered from the disease.
Among new cases, 6,473 cases have been infected through local transmission.
Contact sources of infection cannot be traced to 324.
There are 34 health professionals among those infected and 18 people have arrived from outside the country.
Ernakulam reported the highest number of 958 cases, followed by Kozhikode (932), Thiruvananthapuram (839), Thrissur (760), Kollayam (700), Kollam (523), Kannur (430), Idukki (292), Alappuzha (267), Palakkad (249), Pathanamthitta (240), Malappuram (237) and Kasaragod (85).
Patient-wise levies that test negative are Kollam (1,039), Thrissur (1,014), Thiruvananthapuram (694), Ernakulam (634), Kottayam (438), Kannura (387), Kozhikode (257), Pathanamthitta (257), idukki ( 233), Palakkad (228), Malappuram (223), Alappuzha 201), Wayanad (183) and Kasaragod (143).
There are a total of 2,08,004 people currently observing in various state districts, where 2,02,837 are in their homes or institutional quarantine centers, and 5,167 in isolation in hospitals.
In accordance with the weekly infection population ratio (WIPR), 46 wards in 39 local bodies have more than 10% WIPR.
On this ward, strict limitation locking has been implemented.
