The Chairman of Pinarayi Vijayan’s Minister and the leaders of the Congress were slammed because of their attitude on the problem raised by Pala Bishop Mar Joseph Kallaragatt in the weekly column Deepika every day, which circulated among the Catholic communities.
The column that appeared on the paper editorial page on Sunday, said that Vijayan might have made such a statement afraid of Islamic terrorists.
He hadn’t even heard of ‘narcotics jihad’ despite having so many advisors, he said.
Jose K Mani was also asked to spend his mind on this problem.
The minister’s chairman has reacted to the bishop’s statement which said that narcotics did not have a certain color of religion; Instead he has anti-socialism color.
He also said that those responsible when dealing with such things, must be careful in ensuring that religious gaps are not caused.
The column did not forgive the leaders of Congress also for criticizing the bishop on his statement about ‘love jihad’ and ‘narcotics jihad’.
The column was named Oppo Leader V D Sathean and MLA P T Thomas who had criticized the bishop.
It also urged the UDF constituent parties to come up with their attitude on the problem raised by the bishop.
