Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan quotes hard facts to see the claims of love / narcotics jihad

Thiruvananthapuram: Chairman of Pinarayi Vijayan’s Minister on Wednesday called the accusation of “love jihad” and “narcotics jihad” in the state unfounded by quoting numbers.
He also overrides holding all party meetings as demanded by the opposition to the compression of the “narcotics of jihad” which was made by Pala Bishop Mar Joseph Kallaragatt.
“The term love and narcotics should not be associated with certain religions.
The hope of some strength to damage unity and peace in the state will remain unmet,” Vijayan told reporters.
He said if the details of religious conversion and narcotics cases were analyzed, it could be understood that religious minorities did not have a specific role in themselves.
Replying to the worries of the bishop, he said there were no complaints or evidence for forced repentance from Christianity to Islam.
Quoting the case of Akhila aka Hadiya who entered Islam after marrying a Muslim youth Vijayan said the High Court and the Supreme Court had examined this problem and found that the allegations of forced conversion were baseless.
There is no evidence that makes someone forcibly addicted to drugs: Cmok campaigns that girls from the minority community – including Christians – are converted and boses to organizations such as IS, Pinarayi Vijayan says an analysis that throws other images.
Of the 100 people who joined the country in 2019, 72 had gone abroad about things related to work and from there that they were interested in ideas.
Of this 72, except for one of Kozhikode, the rest are Muslim believers.
Of the remaining 28, only five people repented from other religions, he said.
“These numbers do not support the claim that girls are converted from other religions to bring them to terrorist organizations,” he said.
Vijayan said the police special branch had taken several steps to fight young people who were interested in extremist ideas.
He refers to counter-radicalization and de-radicalization programs initiated by the state-specific branch, where religious leaders were taken to fight the tendency and bring young people back to the mainstream.
He said the program, what happened well, had to be stopped because of the Covid outbreak and it would continue so the threat of Covid subsided.
At the threat of narcotics, he said 4,941 cases of registered narcotics in the state in 2020, involving 5,422 were accused.
Of these, 2,700 people (49.8%) came from Hinduism, 1,869 (34.47%) of Islam and 853 (15.73%) Christians.
“There is no unnatural ratio anywhere in these numbers.
Narcotics Trade is not in accordance with religion,” he said.
Vijayan also said there was no evidence or complaints about forcibly made someone drug addiction.
By stating that the wrong tendency would be handled strongly, he urged all political parties to carry out the right intervention after analyzing the situation correctly.
He said there was no point in meeting all parties because there would be no other opinion about this problem from any party.
Conversely, every organization must use their own platform to fight hatred campaigns and the wrong tendency.
