THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kerala chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Wednesday reported the Central authorities should refrain from executing policies that cause uncontrollable increase in gas rates.
Vijayan was reacting to a call attention motion moved by MLA C H Kunham from the Meeting to the should advocate that the Central government to decrease taxation or impact cost control over oil solutions.

The Centre has to refrain from executing policies that cause uncontrollable increase in gas costs,” Vijayan stated.
The Chief Minister said that the gas cost was increasing uncontrollably following the change from administrative cost mechanism to dynamic prices.
He stated the people weren’t getting any advantage of this shift in global oil rates.
“When the cost in the worldwide oil market decreases, the Central government raises the excise duty and also the folks weren’t profited from the decrease of cost in the worldwide marketplace,” he explained.
The ministry said throughout the past six decades, the fundamental tax on gasoline and petrol was raised by 307 percent.
“In 2021 independently, the gas and gas prices were raised 19 occasions,” he explained.
Vijayan said that the Centre stocks just the most basic excise duty together with all the nations and nothing else.
