ThiruvananThapuram: Chairman of Pinarayi Vijayan’s Minister on Sunday told the media that the LDF government had never tried to weaken the governor’s strength in his capacity as Chancellor of Kerala University, let alone a fire from his shoulder to realize the purpose of ‘politics’.
Said categorical terms that he and his government wanted to see the governor continued as Chancellor, CM but seemed to indicate that the LDF government was fully prepared to face the worst.
“My namukkum” (let’s see) is his response to pointed requests about the government’s reaction if the governor insisted on removing his position as a chancellor.
In an hour’s press conference held in Kannur, CM with a hard time replying to each of the governor’s accusations had risen in his letter on December 8 which accused the political disruption in the functioning of the university and the dilution of academic standards.

The minister’s chairman said one name was sent for appointments at Sanskrit University because there were consensus among all members, including UGC representatives, in this case.
