Thiruvananthapuram: Minister of Health Vena George said the state had demanded 90 lakh vaccines from the center.
He spoke to reporters after his meeting with the central team.
The central team was led by Dr.
Ruchi Jain, deputy director of the regional center of the Ministry of Health and family welfare, was in the country to review the pandemic situation.
After the meeting, the Minister of Health said the central team had expressed satisfaction in the steps taken by the state in the war against a pandemic.
“The Central Team has explained that it does not need concerns over the increase in TPR in the state.
The team has expected that the second wave will subside and there will be no more damage,” said the Minister, added that the central team had explained that the country had gone well in waves First and second.
The team has visited the General Hospital in Thiruvananthapuram, the Pariypal Medical College Hospital in Kollam and the Kolancherry General Hospital in Pathanamthitta.
