Kerala: Digital Resulvey must be done in 4 years, said Revenue Minister K Rajan

Thiruvananthapuram: The government will complete the resurvey process using digital technology in the next four years, said Revenue Minister K Rajan on Wednesday.
On Tuesday, the Cabinet has decided to provide 807.98 Crore Hospital sanctions for resurvey 1550 villages in the state.
In the first phase, the government will provide RS 339,438 Crore under Rebuild Kerala Initiative (RKI) for resurvey.
The government has also provided administrative sanctions for RS 156,173 Crore for the second phase, RS 156,189 Crore for the third phase, and RS 151,186 Crore for the last and final phase, the Minister added.
The government will utilize continuous operating reference stations (Caps), real-time kinematic (RTK), drones, Lidar and total electronic stations (ETS) for resurvey depending on the nature of the land.
The government is expected to complete the resample in a village using CRS in Fivend-a-half months, said Minister.
Limited labor requirements will be an additional advantage for resurvey, because the previous resurvey initiated by the government has suffered due to lack of sufficient labor.
When using Cors and Drone Technologies only surveyors and helpers are needed.
One team can survey up to four hectares using Cors technology.
The minister said that resurvey was finished in 87 villages far earlier.
People will receive better services related to land ownership documents, redressal disputes, and land records and sketches.
Toi, on Sunday, reported how the State kicked an ambitious survey of eternal villages and mapping with improvised technology in the village region (Svamitva scheme) which was launched by the center that intends to provide integrated property validation solutions for property in rural areas using advanced drone survey technology.
In accordance with the order issued by the Revenue Department in this regard, the government has established a State Steering Committee, District Monitoring and Visitor Committee, Taluk and Panchayat Committee and Urban Local Monitoring Committee, as part of the application of schemes in the state.
The Chairperson of the Secretary (Revenue) additional, the district collector, Tahsildar and President Panchayat or the chairman of the city, will be the chairman of the four committees at four levels.
There were 1670 villages in Kerala.
