Thiruvananthapuram: Swami Prakasananda, former head of Varkkla Sivagiri Mutt, died at the age of 99.
He breathed his last breath around 9 in the morning at the Mission Mission Mission Hospital Sivagiri Narayana in Thiruvananthapuram district.
Prakasandada is not suitable for some time due to age-related diseases.
Prakasanda received Sanyami ‘Deeseka’ at the age of 22 and since then he has devoted his life to the promotion of Teacher Sree Narayana Teacher.
A soft saint, Prakasananda has shown deep knowledge in Sree Narayana teachers and proficiently in maintaining warm relationships with people in all walks of life, cutting caste, creeds and their political tendencies.
Prakasananda has made criticism when he invited Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Mutt in 2013 in connection with Sivagiri’s annual spiritual festival when the last was Minister of Gujrat.
SNDP Yogam General Secretary Vellappy Natesan in the message of his condolences remembered swamical contributions as very valuable.
“He made a selfless contribution as a spiritual teacher,” he said.
Kollam MP n Prema Premachadran said that Precision played an important role in maintaining Sivagiri as a secular spiritual ball center.
Cremation Scheduled Vedas Scheduled is held in Varkkala at 5 pm on Wednesday.
