THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Kerala government has comprised those that are going overseas for research and job goal, from the prioritised category below the 18-45 years age group for its Covid-19 vaccination. A direct conclusion was taken in this respect as many overseas nations have made vaccination mandatory for all those coming there for job and study functions, Health Minister Veena George stated here on Tuesday. Apart from them, 10 additional classes were also contained at the prioritised team and an order has been issued to the same, so she explained. Field personnel of different government departments such as civil and food supplies, postal, social interaction, Women and Child Development, Fisheries and instructors delegated to the evaluation of SSLC, Higher Secondary and Vocational Higher Secondary assessments were one of those recently added to this prioritised group. As many as 32 groups of individuals belonging to this age category were previously included in the priority group after thinking about these as frontline fighters from Covid-19. “But there was a need to add more classes from the priority category. Depending on the recommendation of a country level committee, 11 more classes are inserted,” the ministry stated. Vaccination for its prioritised groups from the 18-44 years age group started in Kerala on May 17. Individuals with comorbidities, belonging to the age group, have been included in the first priority group. The state government had issued comprehensive recommendations to the vaccination of the age class and published the listing of comorbidities to ascertain the eligibility. Eligible individuals were led to enroll in the government site concerned to be contained in the priority listing, health department resources included.
