Kerala: Government support to an unmosemen sector, said KK Shailaja

Thiruvananthapuram: In a crude surprise to the LDF government, the former Health Minister K K Karyaja issued the government in the Assembly, by saying their support was given to the unorganized sector in a crisis insufficient.
While moving the attention of the call of the Minister of Industry and Coir P Rajeeve, the former Minister of Shailaja emphasized the need for a special revitalization package to the labor sector that was not organized in the crisis because Covid.
The former health minimum said the current support provided by the government was not enough, and therefore the government must provide more care for this sector.
“The package announced now is only temporary assistance for this sector.
Salary arrears in the handsloan sector have not been disbursed.
Therefore the steps must be taken to disburse this arrears earlier,” Shailaja said.
The former Minister of Health said people in this sector had taken a big loan and also faced a severe crisis to face their daily needs because of the current situation.
The former Minister also wants the government to increase Rabat Onam by 10% for handloom products.
Welfare funds announced for this sector are not enough.
They need a special package, and the government must also provide interest-free loans to this sector.
While replying to the request submitted by the former Minister of Health, Rajeeve did not commit a commitment to one of the demands made by him.
He registers aid package announced by the government for a variety of sectors, who face a crisis because of the current pandemic situation.
