ThiruvananThapuram: After the pioneering level of testing (TPR) edged close to 12% of the state government on Tuesday decided to continue limiting locking for one more week.
The review meeting chaired by the minister of Head Pinarayi Vijayan also decided to test three lakh on Friday.
There are reports that the government is considering providing relaxation in the local body with TPR below 15% and that even weekend restrictions will be lifted.
But when TPR increases above 11% in the past two days, the sidewalk will continue.
Relaxation given to Bakrid will expire on Tuesday night and from Wednesday, the previous restrictions will apply.
The body of traders and branches of the Indian medical association state has demanded to open shops throughout the day to reduce crowding.
They have shown that the decision to allow shops to open only on three days has had a negative effect with crowded shops.
The collective opinion at the review meeting is that there should not be disappointing in limitations, especially when TPR increases.
Vijayan urged in the meeting that the district government must make an effective intervention to bring down TPR.
He also urged the local government department to effectively impose micro detention in the local body with high TPR.
He also explained that the facility must be arranged for plantation workers who came from across the border to plantations in Idukki to remain in the situation themselves for avoiding daily trips.
The country reported 16,848 new Covid-19 cases and 104 deaths in the last 24 hours took the active Kaseload to 1,26,398 and related death relations of up to 15,512 respectively.
At the same time, with 12,052 fresh recovery, the total number of restored people has reached 30,45,310.
TPR is currently at11.91%.
As many as 1,41,431 samples were tested for Coronavirus in the last 24 hours and a total of 2,55,72,679 samples were tested until now.
Among new cases, 15,855 has been infected through local deployment.
Infection contact sources cannot be tracked for 783 people.
There are 101 health professionals among those infected while 31 people have arrived from outside the country.
Malappuram reported the highest number of cases at 2,752 followed by thrissur (1,929), Ernakulam (1,901), Kozhikode (1,689), Kollam (1,237), Palakkad (1,101), Kottayam (1,055), Alappuzha (905), Alappuzha (905), Kannur (873), Kasaragod (643), Pathanamthitta (517), Wayanad 450 and Idukki (240).
There are 83 local bodies with TPR below 5%, 384 with TPR between 5% -10%, 362 with TPR between 10% -15% and 205 with TPR above 15% in the country.
