Thiruvananthapuram: The state government is considering allowing space and film auditorium to be reopened in the state after reduced the number of Covid-19 cases.
Minister of Culture and Fisheries Cherian said on Tuesday that the country reached a favorable stage to reopen the theater and auditorium due to the level of the test in the decline.
Vaccination also reached 90%, he said.
The government has permitted to continue shooting film and tele-serial and the government is also preparing to reopen the school.
Considering all these factors, the government is thinking to allow to reopen the theater and auditorium, he said.
However, he said that the last call would only be taken after holding a discussion with health experts.
The cinema has been reopened after the first wave of Covid-19 who hit the country last year had subsided.
The government then allows the theater to function 50% in it.
However, when the second wave crashed into the country and the number of infected citizens rose sharply, the government had gone to total shutdown.
Although almost all other sectors have been reopened until now, the theater, eating at home in restaurants and bars has not been given permission.
