Kerala Govt issued a rule to define the micro detention zone

Thiruvananthapuram: The state government has revised the Lockdown Guidelines to provide more encouragement for the management of the Micro Detention Zone (MCZ).
According to the revised guidelines issued on Thursday based on the grouping of positive cases, markets, stretching 100 meters in residential roads, malls or even family homes along with 10 members suitable to be declared MCZ, inviting three times limiting locking.
MCZ will be notified by the Disaster Management Authority based on feedback from the Ministry of Health and the police, which will maintain the perimeter control of all MCZs.
Communication issued based on the provisions of the 2005 disaster management law provided guidelines to define MCZ and the responsibilities of various departments and institutions for smooth implementation.
The micro detention zone was decided based on the weekly infection population ratio.
“Micro Detention Zone (MCZ) can be defined as a lower area of ​​the Panchayat / City / corporate ward where the potential spread of Covid-19 high due to the grouping of positive cases.
MCZ can be in the form of roads, markets, ports, fishing villages, landing centers Fish, shopping centers, residential areas, factories, UMKM units, IT offices, flats, warehouses, workshops, men and locations, family homes along with 10 members, etc., “said government command.
The area above, such as the market, port, road (every 100m) will be classified as a cluster if they have five positive cases on certain days.
“However, disaster management authorities can notify clusters even if less than five positive cases found in every 100 meters depending on the land situation,” said the new guide.
They also propose to identify work and address of individual work for a better understanding of grouping.
Explain further objectives, government orders say: “For example, if two individuals who sell fish in the same market are changed positively, but with the address registered in two different Panchayats, while the market can be a potential area, it will disappear if the field of individual work is not Recorded.
“All MCZs will remain so for seven days and will stop there as MCZ from day 8, provided the restrictions are not extended by DDMA.
Meanwhile, the level of testing in the country reached 14.73% on Thursday.
The country recorded 21,445 fresh cases and 160 deaths that day.
Among those tested positive for this disease, 73 came from outside the country and 20, 316 was infected through contact.
