Kochi: The Kerala High Court has asked the state government to check the feasibility of website settings where students who need it can register for themselves so that those who are interested can contribute to the purchase of digital devices for their online studies.
Justice King Vijayaraghavan V, in order issued on August 24, said the government could take the help of Kerala State state mission to establish a website where individuals, companies, NRI, or NGOs can voluntarily contribute to purchasing devices.
The court order came in a petition submitted by a group of elementary school students who had approached through their parents complaining that they did not have digital facilities at home to allow them to pursue education, which is now being carried out online.

They say they have the right to free and mandatory education that has increased to constitutional rights based on article 21A constitution.
