Kochi: The High Court has allowed a nine-year-old girl to accompany her father to do the Jabarimala pilgrimage this month.
The Covid-19 protocol in place does not prevent this, he argues.
The division bench consisting of justice Shaji P Chaly and Justice a Badharudeen issued a temporary command after considering the request submitted by the girl from Pattathanam in Kollocate through Nirmal V Nair Advate.
In his request, the girl argued that she had to be allowed to make a pilgrimage with her father because she would not be able to do it from next year and so on for four decades in accordance with religious beliefs and beliefs.
Order state government imposes restrictions considering the children of Covid-19 allows children who are not vaccinated to accompany adults, who have taken at least one vaccine dose or who has a negative RT-PCR certificate, the advice is argued.
The advice also quoted the division’s bench assessment on April 16 which with a girl was allowed to accompany her father to Ziah Sabarimala.
Although the advice that represents the government and Travancore Devaswom Board (TDB) opposes the application, the court argues that the temporary command can continue to allow the applicant to accompany his father to the Darshan Sabianimala on August 23.
The state police ordered the government’s head, and TDB to make the settings needed for order compliance.
