Kerala HC detained the center of taking coercive action against the NBA beneath the rules

New Delhi: The Kerala High Court in the temporary order has resisted the trade union government to take coercive action against the News Broadcasters Association (NBA) under IT rules.
While hearing the NBA application challenged the new rules “in the field that they gave an excessive government authority,” Justice P Suresh Kumar also issued a notice to the center and looking for his attitude.
NBA, in his request, has argued that the new rules provide government authority “excessive force” to “limit” freedom of speech and media expressions.
In the petition, it was submitted even though Advocate Nisha Bhambhani, The Association said Information Technology (Broker Guidelines & Digital Media Ethics Codes), 2021, was Ultra Vires for Information Technology Act, 2000 in addition to violations of Article 14 (equality before law) and 19 ( 1) (g) (the right of freedom to practice any profession, or to do any work, trade or business) constitution.
The Writ (Petisi) also states that the executive by creating such structures, has made a breakthrough into the force of the judiciary and given itself with the power reserved exclusively for the judiciary and the implementation of the power without jurisdiction, “he said (with input from PTI)
