Kochi: IMD has issued a very heavy rainfall warning for Saturday and Sunday.
Orange warnings for rainfall of 12-20 cm have been heard for Ernakulam, Idukki, Thrissur, Palakkad, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur and Kasaragod on Saturday.
Similar warnings have been heard on Sundays also for Kottayam, Ernakulam, Idukki, Thrissur, Palakkad, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad and Kannur.
The rest of the state will continue to get heavy rainfall isolated until August 30.
In communication sent to the state government, IMD said that an offshore through the average sea level flowed from Kerala Beach to Karna Beach.
