Thiruvananthapuram: Senior IAS Officer Teapa Ram Meena, which fell as head of the main election and returned to the Cadre of the State, said that the Election Commission had undermined the agreement with Keltron on the leak list of voters.
He said that all data related to this problem was handled by Keltron and the Election Commission had investigated when the accusation of duplication of voters emerged during the selection of the newly held assemblies.
The decision to end the agreement with Keltron was carried out in the Commission’s instructions, he said.
He said that the accusation of voter duplication was unfounded.
The opposition leader who then Ramesh Chennithala came upon charges that nearly 4.34 lakh duplicate voters, but the Commission has denied this and said that there were only around 38,000 double entries.
The Commission has shown that such an anomaly is normal during the election; and that they are repaired.
Immediately after the election, in an exclusive interview with Toi, Meena said that the problem was destroyed outside the proportion.
He also clarified that it was not a country’s special problem because some people could enter their names on the voter list several times or may not remove them while migrating to other places.
Such entry called a similar demographic entry that was eliminated before the election, he said.
