Thiruvananthapuram: The country recorded 13,773 new cases and 87 more deaths due to Coronavirus disease in the last 24 hours, each took active caseload to 1,19,022 and the number of deaths was up to 15.025.
12,370 patients recovered from viral diseases on Thursday, which took total recovery in the country to 29,82,545.
As many as 2,49,30,543 samples were tested for Covid-19 disease to what extent 1,25,742 samples were tested in the last 24 hours.
The current level of testicitivity (TPR) is AT10.95%.
Among new cases, 13,043 were infected through local spread.
Infection contact sources cannot be tracked for 617 people.
There are 57 health professionals among those who have been infected while 56 people have arrived from outside the country.
Malappuram reported the highest number of cases (1,917) followed by Kozhikode (1,692), Ernakulamp (1,536), thrissur (1,405), Kollam (1,106), Palakkad (1,105), Kannur (936), Thiruvananthapuram (791), alappuzha (791)) , Kasaragod (674), Kottayam (555), Pathanamthitta (530), Wayanad (325) and Idukki (265).
The number of people infected through local contact in each district is as follows: Malappuram 1,867, Kozhikode 1,674, Ernakulam 1,390, Kollam 1,100, Palakkad 754, Kannur 841, Thiruvananthapuram 846, Alaptagod 665, Kottayam 532, Pathanamthitta 518, Wayanad 306 and Idukki 255.
The number of health workers infected in the district is as follows: Kannur 20, Thrissur 7, Wayanad and Kasaragod 5 respectively, Palakkad and Kozhikode 4 each, Pathikthitta and Malappuram 2 each, Thiruvananthapuram and Kollam 2 each, and Idukki and Ernakulam1 respectively.
There are a total of 3,95,560 people currently observing in various districts where 3,70,675 are in their homes or in institutional quarantine centers while 24,885 in isolation in hospitals.
