Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala reported 5,297 fresh Covid-19 cases and 368 related deaths that raised cooperatives to 49,73,954 and deaths to 32,049, said the state government on Monday.
With 7,325 more people recovered from viruses since Sunday, total recovery touched 48.64.506 and active cases reached 76,786, the official press release said.
Of the 368 deaths, 78 reported for the past few days, 232 were those who were not confirmed until June 18 last year due to lack of adequate documentation and 58 were designated as Covid deaths after receiving an appeal based on new guidelines at the center.
And the direction of the Supreme Court, said the release.
51,577 samples were tested in the last 24 hours.
Among the 14 districts, Ernakulam recorded the highest with 867 cases followed by Thiruvananthapuram (750) and Kohikode (637).
From new cases, 21 is a health worker, 16 from outside the country and 4,967 infected through contact with the source is not clear at 293.
At present there are 2,67,802 people under supervision in various districts, including 2.62,274 in the quarantine of the house or institutional and 5,528 in hospitals.
