Thiruvananthapuram: After more than two years, the government finally announced aid while RS 1 Lakh each for the family relatives of the next tribal who lost their baby in Attapadi, Palakkad.
A total of 23 babies died in Attapadi in the 25-month range from July 27, 2017 to August 23, 2019.
Previously, the Palakkad collector, based on the order of the National Human Rights Commission, recommended the state government to provide compensation ordered by the Commission.
The collector has given a report to the government in this case on January 4, 2020.

From 2016 to 2021, 52 babies died in attapadi, the highest number of deaths was reported in 2017 (14) and 2018 (13).
