Kerala: Need the Silverline answer or project will not take off, the opposition said

Thiruvananthapuram: UDF on Saturday held protests throughout the state of the SILVERLINE Railline Corridor Project LDF government that accused it was not scientific and impractical.
Opposition leader V D Sathean launched the protest of the state level in Ernakulam while the head of KPCC K Sudhakanan inaugurated the protest in front of the Secretariat.
Various UDF leaders lead protests at the 10-district headquarters where the project will pass.
Inaugurated March UDF to Ernakulam Collectorate, Sathean said that the state government plans to spend RS 2 Lakh Crore for Silverline projects even without detailed project reports (DPR).
He said that the government would not be allowed to continue with the K-Rail project without providing answers to questions submitted by the opposition.
“If the opposition also supports the absurdity, we must face trial by the masses in the future.
The government does not provide answers to one of the questions raised by us.
They want to acquire land, appoint consultants and take loans.
Many power brokers roam the State Secretariat, “Satheani said.
“The government has improved an agreement.
But it won’t work in Kerala,” he said.
He also asked who had decided to take loans from Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
He said UDF was united in agitation against Silverline.
The Congress will examine why MP Shashi Tharoor did not put his signature on the letter sent by the UDF parliamentary member to the United States of the project.
“Tharoor can take the time to study this problem.
But it cannot be called a division at UDF.
What he said is that there is a need for development culture for Kerala and he will support if the main minister tries to eliminate obstacles in how to create such a culture.
The opposition will play a creative role, “Satheani added.
The opposition will support the government if you decide to make Kerala as an investor friendly country and also to implement a project in a transparent way, he said.
The inauguration of UDF agitation before the Secretariat, KPCC K Sudhakan President said the project was purely not scientific and the government had moral responsibility to convince people about the need for this project.
“The government must not insist on behalf of development.
The development promised by the Head of the Minister may not be a curse for the country.
The Silverline project will be a big blow to people.
Therefore, I asked the government to reconsider the decision about this project,” said Sudhakanan.
